The Trails and Recreation Committee volunteers were hard at work Oct. 24 weed-whipping, clearing away fallen trees and doing other work to prepare the Stagecoach Trail for another season of hiking now that summer’s heat has passed.
Thanks to committee Chair Marie Touitou for the photos below.
You can see more and get much more information about YLP’s trails at the Trails and Recreation page at yosemitelakespark.org.
A guided community hike has been scheduled by the Trails and Recreation Committee for Saturday, Nov. 16.
It will start at 9 a.m. at the North Dome entrance to the fire road across from Quail Court and feature a new segment of the Revis Mountain trail, to be called Jim’s Loop. It was named for Jim Cypher, a YLP resident who has done extensive volunteer work to maintain hiking trails around his Revis Mountain home and other areas.
Anyone wanting to join the group can join a carpool leaving from the clubhouse parking lot at 8:40 a.m.
