The YLOA/YSPUC Bookkeeper will take care of all of our company’s day to day financial tasks while ensuring the transactions are recorded correctly.

Job Duties:

  • Record financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Monitor financial transactions & reports
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable entries
  • Prepare, review and update financial statements in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist with support for administrative staff during on-boarding, training, and quality assurance
  • Confidently answer escaladed questions about financials
  • Ensure to work in a team environment with the highest possible quality through providing personalized, efficient, and empathetic replies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in accounting/business administration preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years bookkeeping experience, business environment preferred
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Works independently and takes responsibility for completing assigned tasks
  • Volunteers for assisting others and taking on assignments without being asked
  • Desires about not just making sure tasks are done, but are done efficiently; seeking ways to do things better, more through, seeking advice and feedback from staff members/homeowners

Physical Demands:

  • Meet the health and physical condition standard necessary for the position, walking, sitting, lifting, standing/kneeling for periods of time
  • Ability to lift 15-25 lbs., stoop, bend over, sit for periods of time (with accommodation)
