PART TIME – BLUE HERON & YOSEMITE GRILL PREP COOK

PAY: DOE

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparation of all foods requiring pre-opening preparation and ensuring the efficiency of the line and kitchen operations in accordance with YLOA specifications and standards.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for preparing all dressings and sauces
  • Responsible for daily preparation of pizza dough
  • Responsible for daily preparation of all items needed for nightly service
  • Must follow all recipes  and kitchen procedures
  • Responsible for prepping sliced meats and cheeses
  • Must maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in a culinary position
  • Must have good vision (with correction) and be able to hear in a sometimes loud environment (with correction)
  • Have a general understanding of food handling and safety rules
  • Must be able  to accurately convert measurements depending on recipe requirements
  • Must be able to walk and stand for  duration of shift
  • Must be able to lift 25-30lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to tolerate sometimes extreme working conditions (humidity, hot/cold temperatures, kitchen environment
