PART TIME – BLUE HERON & YOSEMITE GRILL PREP COOK
PAY: DOE
The Prep Cook is responsible for preparation of all foods requiring pre-opening preparation and ensuring the efficiency of the line and kitchen operations in accordance with YLOA specifications and standards.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for preparing all dressings and sauces
- Responsible for daily preparation of pizza dough
- Responsible for daily preparation of all items needed for nightly service
- Must follow all recipes and kitchen procedures
- Responsible for prepping sliced meats and cheeses
- Must maintain food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:
- High school Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in a culinary position
- Must have good vision (with correction) and be able to hear in a sometimes loud environment (with correction)
- Have a general understanding of food handling and safety rules
- Must be able to accurately convert measurements depending on recipe requirements
- Must be able to walk and stand for duration of shift
- Must be able to lift 25-30lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50lbs
- Must be able to tolerate sometimes extreme working conditions (humidity, hot/cold temperatures, kitchen environment
