As part of our planned ‘Fix Our Stuff’ program to address the deferred maintenance and renovation of our amenities, the Cafe will be closed temporarily beginning April 12.
During this phase, the items being addressed include: repairing and reshingling the roof, updating the AC system to more efficient units, replacing the broken oven, adding an additional fryer, installing more energy efficient windows, replacing the carpet with updated flooring, fixing some tiling, removing the old booths and replacing with tables for more flexible seating, painting the inside and outside of the building, updating the POS system, and numerous other cosmetic improvements.
The work is scheduled to take no more than 8 weeks, which will allow us to reopen for full service in time for the anticipated statewide COVID reopening on June 15th, as announced by the governor this week.
In the meantime, based on the current COVID guidelines in Madera County, the Blue Heron, Yosemite Grill, and pizza kitchen have resumed limited seating for indoor dining and continue to provide our full menu for takeout and patio dining.
Per existing COVID restrictions, the office remains closed to walk in visitors, except by appointment.
