From General Manager Jonathan Penrose:
We have received $75,000 so far in upfront payments, plus we’re expecting another $100,000 on payment plans this year — for an expected total of at least $175,000 this year.
We are receiving $4,000 a month on payment plans, and about $4,000 a month in current assessments from homeowners not previously paying dues.
HOA dues need to be paid by the first of the month. They become delinquent on the 15th of the month no matter what schedule you’re on — yearly, quarterly or monthly. Delinquent dues are subject to a 10 percent late fee.
As promised, we are pursuing collections from homeowners who do not pay their dues in a timely way.
At the next monthly meeting, I will ask the Board of Directors to authorize foreclosures on some seriously delinquent accounts.
